Something that I must discuss with God when we meet:
Why is a brilliant, funny, counter-culture icon who brought joy to millions--comedian George Carlin--dead, while murdering, thieving, savage butchers George Bush Jr. and Dick "the Dick" Cheney are still alive?
I sound like my children when they were small: "It's not fair!!" I understand their frustration even better at this point in my life. "Not fair" is an understatement: September 11, this horrendous war, the death of our soldiers, the oil prices drowning our economy, the poor and the elderly who are ill and frightened being neglected and ignored. It's not fair--it's not right--it's George Bush and his henchmen.
Speaking of "Curious George," let's do something about this mess he continues to create. I know I'm not the only one sick to death of him. Let's bring that monster and everything he stands for to justice. Get on the "Impeach George Bush" site and add your support to this important movement.

The light is just coming up over the neighbor's terrace roof.
Cars wheeze and growl in front of our building.
The squirrels are the same each morning-
they look for what passes as food in this huge, impartial city.
What is there but to re-open, re-visit, re-organize, re-order?
When other activities intrude, I stand still,
eyes closed, listening for the silken chatter of the leaves
and their hint that there is reason to start again.
